At what age do Border Collies’ ears stand up?

Not all Border Collies have erect ears; a Border Collie’s ears usually set at around four months, and if they still have not stood up by then, it is likely a floppy-eared Border Collie. Border Collies generally start to raise their ears at about one and a half months after birth and settle at 4-5 months.

During this period the owner should ensure the dog’s daily diet has enough calcium, feeding calcium-rich foods such as cooked egg yolk and dried shrimp, or an appropriate amount of pet calcium tablets. In addition, assistive items like dog ear supports can be used to help the ears stand.
