At what age can a white zebra finch breed?

White zebra finches can breed after 5 months, producing 4-5 clutches per year with 5-8 eggs each, an 85% hatch rate, and an incubation period of about 18 days.

After laying, the male and female take turns incubating by day, while the female mostly incubates at night. Chicks usually hatch after about 15 days, no later than 20.

If no hatching occurs after 20 days, the egg will not hatch and can be discarded.
