At What Age Can a Chinchilla Be Bathed?

Chinchillas can generally be bathed after one month. They can be washed with water or cleaned with bath sand, but dust baths are preferred to avoid water.

Place a chinchilla sized tub with bath sand and it will clean itself, but do not offer dust too often, or over cleaning may damage its skin and coat.
