When a cat has bronchitis causing frequent sneezing and a runny nose, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergy medications can be used symptomatically, by injection or nebulization. Nebulization works better, as it widens the bronchi and moistens the nasal passages.

After about a week of medication, if symptoms still do not improve, take the cat to a veterinary clinic for a respiratory PCR panel to rule out herpesvirus, calicivirus, or mycoplasma infection. For long-standing cases, further allergy-source testing should be done when possible, since avoiding the allergen is what will truly resolve it.
