Canine coronavirus is usually treated symptomatically, with anti-vomiting, anti-diarrhea, fluid therapy, and antibiotics to control secondary infection. Since your dog can eat normally, you can temporarily treat the symptoms: help stop the diarrhea and give more water and nutrition to build resistance.

But if diarrhea is severe or meds don’t help, withhold food and water and give IV fluids to prevent dehydration.
