When a dog has internal heat, give it more water and appropriately some mung-bean soup to help reduce the heat. You can also brew mulberry-chrysanthemum granules or isatis-root (banlangen) for the dog to drink, which also helps cool it down. Usually avoid feeding too much oily or high-salt food, to prevent internal heat or extra kidney burden.

We recommend high-quality dog food and avoiding low-grade kibble.
