It is generally best to let a male Pomeranian breed only after reaching physical maturity, that is, after one year of age. They reach sexual maturity early, around 6 to 7 months, but the body is not fully developed then and breeding may harm normal growth. My Pom bred fine at just over a year, but I'd never have let him at six months even if he was interested, his body wasn't done growing. Wait until at least a year, and get a health check first, especially hips and eyes. Early breeding can stunt their development and pass on faults. If you're considering it, talk to a vet about timing and whether he's even a good candidate.
