What happens if a dog breeds too often?

Frequent breeding and whelping place a heavy burden on a dog’s body and easily lead to several problems. First, frequent breeding consumes the dog’s energy and stamina, causing fatigue, weakness, and weight loss. Second, a female dog may become pregnant after breeding; if she whelps many times in a short period, it may cause damage to the uterus and ovaries, increasing the risk of diseases such as metritis, ovarian cysts, and uterine prolapse.

Finally, a female dog needs to consume a lot of energy and nutrition during pregnancy and lactation; if this is not replenished in time, it may lead to weight loss, malnutrition, shortened lifespan, and other problems.
