What does a peacock eat?

Peacocks mainly eat green feed—corn, wheat, sorghum, soybean, soybean cake, and various grasses. They also eat mushrooms, tender grass, leaves, termites, wild fruit, and grass-family seeds.

They like to forage at dawn. In captivity, use grass seeds, tree seeds, rice, and seedlings as the staple, with some animal feed like locusts, crickets, and caterpillars.
