Saline solution alone generally cannot cure a hamster’s eye inflammation. Besides cleaning with saline, buy antibacterial anti-inflammatory eye drops such as neomycin sulfate; each day, wipe excess fluid from the eye corner with a tissue, then apply 1-2 drops 4-6 times daily.
If the inflammation does not improve with this method, take the hamster to a veterinary hospital for examination and treatment promptly.
