How long does a Bichon bleed after giving birth?

A Bichon’s post-birth bleeding is lochia discharge, a normal process lasting about 1-3 weeks. Time varies with each dog’s constitution and delivery, but usually not over a month.

It is normally only light bleeding, not heavy or continuous. If bleeding lasts too long or does not stop, take the dog to a veterinary hospital.
