At what age can a cat eat cat food?

It is generally advised to feed cat food about a month after birth. Cats usually wean around 40 days; a few days before weaning, give a little softened kibble to help gradual adaptation and avoid gut upset from the diet change. Before 3 months, feed milk cake, goat milk, and kibble softened with warm water or goat milk, since the kitten’s digestion is still weak and needs rich, easily digested food.
