How long is the course of a dog’s intussusception?

If a dog’s intussusception is not treated promptly, the dog may die within a week. It mostly occurs in puppies, with common signs of stubborn vomiting, passing little sticky bloody stool or no stool, and abdominal pain. If these signs appear, take it to a vet promptly. The condition generally needs sedation and enema; if severe, timely surgical reduction is required.
