How often is it appropriate to bathe a British Shorthair cat?

British Shorthairs do not need frequent baths; bathing once every three months or half a year is generally sufficient, depending on the cat’s actual condition. Their coat is short and their odor is light, and cats groom themselves, so they usually do not get dirty easily. If the cat is not dirty and has no odor, there is no need to bathe it often. Frequent bathing instead increases shedding and can damage the skin, leading to skin disease.
