How long until a dog dies from sleeping pills?

A small amount of sleeping pill generally will not kill a dog, only put it to sleep. Dose correctly by the dog’s condition, size and vet advice; one 5 mg pill makes it sleep within 20 to 30 minutes for 6 to 8 hours.

Over 8 pills is life-threatening; if a dog eats too many, induce vomiting with hydrogen peroxide or soap water at once and rush to a vet.
