How often should hamster treats be given?

Offer hamster treats every 2 to 3 days, best after the staple food and only a little. Do not overfeed or over-frequent treats, or the hamster gets picky.

Hamsters hoard food, and too much given at once spoils in hiding and can cause disease, so control portions of both staple and treats.
