Photos alone cannot determine pregnancy because most cats show no obvious signs early on, making it hard to tell; watch for unusual irritability, increased appetite, and sleepiness, which pregnancy usually brings. Around day 30 the belly becomes visible and sags, the nipples swell and darken, and gentle abdominal palpation may find movable hard lumps, though the cat is sensitive then and won’t easily allow it. The owner can also get an ultrasound at a clinic to confirm pregnancy and check the due date and fetal development.
