How Long Do Red-Eared Sliders Hibernate?

Red-eared sliders typically hibernate for about 5 months, usually entering hibernation in November and ending around March to April. The timing is not fixed, as climates differ by region; some areas cool earlier and the turtles hibernate sooner, generally entering hibernation once temperatures fall below 15 C.
