I gave my dog probiotic water and then medicine by mistake – what should I do?

Pet probiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs should not be taken together; space them at least 1-2 hours apart. The probiotics are live bacteria that need time to multiply in the gut, and antibiotics taken soon after can kill them, weakening their effect and unsettling the gut flora. If you accidentally gave both, don’t panic – it usually won’t cause severe illness, just greatly reduces the probiotic benefit. Keep observing the dog, follow the vet’s instructions strictly, and separate probiotics from other medications in the future.
