How long until you can tell if a cat is pregnant?

Early signs of cat pregnancy are not obvious, and it is generally hard to tell if a cat is pregnant. After successful conception, clear pregnancy reactions and signs like an enlarged abdomen, pink nipples, and vomiting usually appear around one month later.

To confirm pregnancy, the owner can take the cat for an ultrasound about a month after mating; this test also rules out false pregnancy. Once pregnancy is confirmed, the owner needs to provide ample nutrition to meet the needs of the mother and fetuses.
