During mating the female and male copulate repeatedly over 20-60 minutes; avoid disturbing them. After mating the female licks her anus—once you see this, separate them. After successful mating she rejects the male and shows a rounder rear, more appetite and a bigger belly.
In short, once pregnancy is confirmed, cage them separately to prevent fighting and miscarriage.
