My cat has a bald, red, wet patch on the back of its neck; what is it?

The cat may have fungal or bacterial skin disease or a wound infection causing redness and hair loss. If possible, get a skin cytology at a hospital to confirm the type and treat faster.

If a hospital is not immediate, put on an E-collar to stop scratching or licking, disinfect the area with iodine, and apply a pet antibiotic ointment for 3 to 5 days. If no improvement, go to a hospital for testing and adjust medication.
