What Does Dog Diarrhea Look Like?

Diarrhea means stool with too much water, soft, mushy or liquid, and more frequent than usual.

Normal stool is formed, firm brown and 1-2 times a day; soft, loose or watery stool with color change, blood or mucus means diarrhea.

Causes include diet change, bacterial or viral infection, allergy or internal parasites.

For short mild cases give probiotics and light small meals; for severe or prolonged cases see a vet.
