Since yesterday my cat’s leg does not lift comfortably

A cat holding a leg up and not bearing weight mainly concerns three areas. First, bone injury such as fracture needs an X-ray; if confirmed, fix it promptly to avoid permanent damage.

Second, soft tissue injury from blunt trauma may show hematoma or edema needing symptomatic rest. Third, skin damage on the paw or limb from infection needs prompt disinfection of the wound.
