Too much fur mats easily; if uncombed it pulls the skin, causing damage and skin disease. Long foot fur makes walking hard and can deform bones or fracture if slipping.
Trim regularly and comb long coats. If the dog licks fur and shows constipation or retching, give hairball paste to prevent hairball disease.
