What happens if a British Blue eats her kittens?

A British Blue may eat weak, deformed or underdeveloped kittens to recover energy after birth, or suspect kittens with strange smells, or eat them from post-birth fright.

She may develop pica and erratic eating, harming her gut. Provide enough food, avoid touching kittens, and if she loses maternal instinct, separate and raise kittens on formula.
