When does a Maine Coon reach adulthood?

A Maine Coon usually reaches adulthood around 1 year old, after which its body size changes little. Because Maine Coons are large with relatively big appetites, the owner must provide enough nutrition during growth with rich, balanced food.

Before adulthood, feed a mix of dry and wet cat food; appropriate wet food supplies protein and water. After 4 months, feed some cooked meat, but cook it before serving.
