Teddies rank second in intelligence and are very smart with strong comprehension, so start training at around 3 months old. Begin with housebreaking so the dog builds good habits while you practice your training skills.

Be patient during training. Reward it with food when it does well, and never scold or hit it when it does not cooperate.
