At what size is a Red-footed tortoise fully grown?

The Red-footed tortoise matures relatively late; when it becomes an adult depends on its growth rate, and they can only breed after about 5 years of growth. During the breeding season, Red-footed tortoises become unusually active and males compete with each other.

Normally, an adult Red-footed tortoise reaches about 30 cm in size, with a maximum of around 50 cm. In different environments, adult size varies: those in the southern regions can reach about 50 cm, while those in the north are usually around 40 cm.
