Puppies can’t hold much and may eliminate 5-7 times a day, so train a designated indoor spot. Prepare a tray with layered newspaper, rubbing the top layer with the dog’s urine to leave a scent, then let the dog sniff its toilet.

About half an hour after eating, watch for circling or sniffing and guide it to the tray; reward a snack when it goes there successfully.
