How to Teach a Dog to Count?

First train the dog to bark on a specific command, not randomly, and reward a snack to reinforce memory. Once it learns the bark command, use hand signals to teach counting: one finger up means one bark for a reward; wrong counts get nothing.

After it learns one, the rest come easier with patient training.
