After giving birth a hamster mother is usually weak, so provide plenty of food and water and a little glucose to help her recover. Also, do not touch the pups with your hands, because if the mother smells another scent she may abandon or even bite them to death.

Finally, keep the cage clean; when changing bedding, wear gloves before touching the pups.
