What happens if a dog eats a mouse?

A dog eating a mouse has several effects. Mice carry many bacteria, viruses and parasites; occasional eating is not very harmful but regular eating threatens health, so deworm afterwards. Some mice are poisoned and can poison the dog too. Dogs normally kill and drop mice rather than eat them; if yours eats them it may be underfed, so feed on schedule.
