What happens when a Pug is about to give birth?

A Pug near delivery shows anxiety or depression, roaming and avoiding people. Her breasts swell with darker nipples and slight milk leakage. About 24 hours before birth her temperature drops about 1 C, returning to normal at delivery. She also nests, eats less, and after water breaking discharges much fluid; prepare for whelping.
