What happens if a Teddy (Poodle) eats ginger?

Eating ginger easily irritates a Teddy’s stomach and may cause vomiting, diarrhea and gastrointestinal discomfort. Because ginger is quite pungent and dogs’ stomachs are sensitive, never feed onions, chili, ginger or other irritating foods.

If the dog reacts after eating ginger, give pet probiotics to settle the gut, and see a vet if symptoms are severe. Also avoid chocolate, coffee and alcoholic foods, which can cause poisoning.
