How do you brush a Samoyed?

For brushing a Samoyed, prepare a wide-tooth comb and a pin comb plus some treats. Start at the back, part the coat with the wide comb, hold the upper hair with one hand and gently comb the lower with the other, releasing a little at a time.

For mats, open them with the pin comb, and cut out ones that will not open. Keep each session under 20 minutes, rewarding with treats if the dog gets impatient.
