How to keep a small aquatic turtle?

First, prepare a suitably sized container with no special requirements except a flat bottom, and set up a basking platform or rock for the turtle to rest, with a proper ramp between the platform and bottom so the small turtle can climb up. Second, change the water regularly and keep the temperature around 25 C, with a change in water temperature of no more than 2 C. Finally, feed on a fixed schedule; small aquatic turtles are omnivores and can eat turtle food or fish feed directly, with occasional small fish or bugs for extra nutrition.
