The ball python is a cute small python; though in the python family, adults are only about 1 m, a few up to 1.5 m. It lives about 40 years, gentle and timid, rarely biting.
Its ideal temperature is about 32 C; below 28 C it easily gets sick, and below 24 C appetite drops. Shy and disliking bright light, when stressed it curls into a ball.
