What time do cats usually sleep?

Cats mainly sleep during the day, with no fixed schedule, they sleep when sleepy, but mostly in light sleep, waking at the slightest sound. After living with an owner, their sleep is influenced by the owner’s routine and they may sleep at night.

An adult cat sleeps about 14 hours a day; a kitten sleeps longer, up to 18 hours or more, but deep sleep may be only 5 to 6 hours.
