Why does my cat have scabs on its nose?

A scab is generally dried exudate. Scabs on a cat’s nose may be caused by skin disease, from primary or secondary conditions such as idiopathic seborrhea, metabolic epidermal necrosis, ringworm, traumatic dermatitis, or seborrheic dermatitis. If you find nose scabs, take the cat to a veterinary hospital to confirm the cause and treat it specifically.

Do not try to pick the scab off with your hand; let it fall off naturally to avoid hurting the cat.
