What medicine controls a dog’s mammary tumor?

A dog with a mammary tumor should have surgery as early as possible for a full cure; removing the mammary gland should be combined with an ovariectomy to control hormone levels. If the dog is too old for surgery, drugs such as cyclophosphamide, vincristine and ifosfamide can help control the condition.

Keep the dog’s living environment stable and do not scold it often; reducing mental stress also helps control the disease. Mammary tumors are common in unspayed females around 10 years old, so have dogs without a breeding plan spayed early.
