Will a turtle starve to death?

A turtle can starve to death, it is just a matter of time. Generally, if the temperature is low the turtle goes into hibernation with very low metabolism and little activity, so it will not starve even after two or three months without food. But if the temperature is high, its metabolism is faster and it may starve after about a month without feeding.

Also, baby turtles are smaller and store less energy, so they starve more easily than adults. Therefore, the owner should feed the turtle on a regular schedule, and if the turtle stops eating, raise the water temperature or check whether it is sick.
