How do you keep crayfish?

To keep crayfish, first prepare a suitably sized tank, spread a layer of substrate on the bottom, and keep the water level not too high, about 20-30 cm. Control the water temperature between 20-30 C, and during the breeding period it is best to keep it around 22-25 C. Do not keep the stocking density too high, to avoid insufficient oxygen.

In the early stage of keeping, change the water once a week, replacing one third each time; once the water quality stabilizes later, you can change it once a month. As omnivores, crayfish can normally be fed ready-made shrimp food, or given some bloodworms, daphnia and other animal-based foods. You can also plant a little aquatic grass in the tank, which the crayfish will occasionally nibble on.
