Ornamental fish are generally fed 1-2 times a day. In spring and summer, when temperatures are higher, fish have a good appetite around 6-7 a.m., so feed them then and again around 7 p.m.
In autumn and winter it is colder, so wait until after sunrise when the water warms up – feed once around 8-9 a.m. and again around 9 p.m. Avoid dumping too much feed at once; make sure the fish can finish it within 10-30 minutes. Overfeeding easily causes indigestion and leftover food pollutes the water.
