Why does my cat keep vomiting?

A cat that keeps vomiting may be suffering from hairballs, gastroenteritis, intestinal blockage, pancreatitis, feline distemper or parasite infection. First, if the vomit contains hair or foreign objects, suspect hairballs and relieve them with cat grass or a hairball paste. Second, if you see worms in the vomit or stool, take the cat to a clinic for a fecal test to identify the parasite, then use a targeted dewormer and follow up with pet probiotics to support the gut. If the cat vomits food, yellow fluid or foam and its energy and appetite are abnormal, it could be gastroenteritis, feline distemper or another disease, so see a veterinarian promptly to find the cause.
