How do you feed newborn kittens that have just opened their eyes?

Kittens that have just opened their eyes are best nursed by the mother cat. If there is no mother, buy kitten-specific goat milk formula and feed them artificially every two hours. Many kittens cannot adapt to a nipple, so in that case use a syringe to drip the milk slowly into the kitten’s mouth, controlling the speed to avoid choking and aspiration pneumonia. Once the kitten is about one month old, you can gradually reduce the formula and start a little milk pudding or kitten kibble softened with warm water. Because newborns have very weak immune systems, keep them warm to avoid colds.
